OUR HISTORY
Our history brings us back to the early 1990’s when John and Bruce were working as flooring installers and sub-contractors installing various types of floor coverings for local floor stores throughout the Twin Cities. Most of which we are still doing business with today.
Fast forward to 2006. At the request of one of the flooring companies we were providing installation services for, we were asked to get certified by a national distributor to install a unique product known as Epoxy/stone flooring.
ROCKWAY SURFACES BEGINS
The company name was chosen to coordinate with the unique product that created the business partnership between John and Bruce. Every dollar made was re-invested back into the company that we John and Bruce were trying to create by adding equipment, tools and expanding their knowledge with training and certifications on various other types of decorative concrete flooring options.
In 2010, John purchased all the rights to Rockway Surfaces to become the sole owner of the company. Not wanting to lose the name and everything else associated with Rockway Surfaces, Inc., his other company was merged with Rockway to combine resources and simplify running one business that had the capabilities to provide services for all types of floor coverings or concrete flooring options.
THE PRESENT
Rockway Surfaces prides itself on having a competitive drive, a qualified installation team and knowledge of the most current trends in floor covering and decorative concrete flooring industries by continuing education and maintaining a vast network of vendors and industry contacts.

We have the capabilities to perform and manage large commercial flooring
projects for general contractors to a simple kitchen backsplash for a residential customer or interior designer. We continue to work with many of our customers or businesses that we have been working with since we started doing floors almost 30 years ago.
